OUR FOUNDER

GRETCHEN SORENSEN, Principal

With a background in national politics and global communications, Gretchen Sorensen transforms organizational challenges into measurable, positive results. Throughout her career, she has helped catalyze a broad range of initiatives that cross sectors and industries. For nearly two decades, she has served as a senior communications executive and trusted strategic advisor to high-profile innovators at the forefront of paradigm shifting ideas, particularly those that are transforming biology and medicine in the 21st century. She has helped her clients translate scientific discoveries and technological advancements into tangible value for funders, policymakers and the marketplace, bringing accelerated benefits and return on investment.

Gretchen is passionate about helping innovators globally bridge the gap between complex topics and the stakeholders who need to understand them – in ways that raise their profile with the audiences who matter most. She helps a wide range of clients design creative solutions to multi-faceted problems and successfully navigate complex communications challenges. Her clients include early-stage companies, research institutes, major health systems, NGOs and charitable foundations.

Gretchen’s areas of expertise include corporate positioning, messaging strategy, reputation management, public affairs, issue advocacy, C-suite communications, media coaching and strategic partnerships. She spent her early career in US politics, working on Capitol Hill, in the Clinton Administration and as senior advisor to two presidential campaigns. She also served in key communications positions, including as head of corporate communications for Turner Broadcasting Systems in the Asia-Pacific region.

Gretchen is a graduate of The Evergreen State College. She has served on numerous non-profit boards and currently serves on the Worldreader board of directors.
